You Look..... Okay
Be still my heart. I was shopping in OSH today for an extra paintbrush and a mask to use while sanding down baseboards that will be painted this week. The lady who helped me looked at my belly and asked me, "When are you due?". I desperately wanted to say, "Oh, I'm not pregnant, I'm just fat." Instead, realizing that I'm too far along to get away with that explanation, I sighed and told her "December 11". She looked me up and down once more and said, "You look.... (pause)... okay". Grrrr!

I am sure you are glowing, and that she is a silly woman with a small vocabulary who works at OSH. Congrats again. I can't wait to see photos.
I am looking forward to seeing photos of him too. LOL.. People are just jealous in there own ways when you see a pregnant person. When its all over with you can bring him in and show the cute little fellow off and then see how she treats you...
Ok I just lost my comment. I hate when that happens. I was just saying i cant wait to see photo's of the little guy either and to bring him back in to show this jealous woman how cute the little fellow is when you have a moment. I think most women are jealous when they see a pregnant woman anyway.
Tweety - I always felt a twinge of envy when I saw someone pregnant, especially when I thought I was not having any more children. I'm glad that my window of opportunity stayed open. All I really care about is that Jellybean will be cute to me and my hubby, and that he's healthy.
Bert - That's very sweet. I don't feel like I'm glowing through the dark circles under my eyes, but I don't think I look horrible either. I just sort of shake my head at what people think is acceptable to say to pregnant women. I can't wait to take pics of the little guy. :-)
People never cease to amaze me. The last time I remarked to a girl that she reminded me of Ann Wilson from Wilson-Phillips, she said "Hey, wait a minute. She's the fat one and that's not a compliment". I bolted.
Michael - Do you mean the Ann Wilson from Heart? At any rate, we all stick our feet in our mouths at some point. It's just that I'm a little sensitive right now. :-P
The one I hated was:"Haven't you had that baby YET?"
Me:"I'm not due for 2 weeks yet."
Them: "Coulda fooled me."
Me: "ARGHHHHH!"
TSHS - Ohh.. that's horrible. I work with a gal who's due a month after I am and she's quite big. I guess people have actually told her how big she looks for when she's due. I think that's pretty awful. :-/
