Be Nice

This little video clip is from when I visited my mom and my son in September. I forgot that we had taught Zoe to "be nice". I am making progress in my videoing skills, but I've not completely figured out editing and how to get music onto the video. But just give me time. In the meantime, enjoy. :-)

Thanks Michael. I miss her terribly - she is about the best dog ever. I would gladly bestow on Zoe the title of "World's Smartest Dog", except for the fact that she has a penchant for eating fabric, candles, rocks, and sticks of butter.

Tweety - That's my son, yes. I don't think I've ever had a current shot of him on my blog, so no worries. :-) He usually doesn't like being captured on film - he's self conscious about his braces. As you can tell, Zoe has no problems being filmed. :-P

Aw! What a pretty pup.
I forgot all about telling dogs to "take it NICE", so I wouldn't have to count my fingers after giving them a treat. (Rabbits take things so gently that Sophie sometimes hops away in glee without realizing she already dropped it)

SME - That's why we taught her to be nice. She scarfs everything down so quickly. She'd never mean to hurt, but her teeth are huge.

Your son has grown up! I can't believe how tall is. Plus, that is one well trained dog. I can't even get my husband to be nice when I cook. He is always stick his fingers in stuff and snacking on dinner in progress.

Angelique - My son is now taller than me, and I'm not a short person. I'd say he's about 5'9", and I'm 5'8". I have a feeling since he's not quite 15 that he may not be done growing yet. Zoe is pretty smart and was relatively easy to train. Yeah, some humans aren't that nice and graceful when eating. :-P

Heh. I don't know that one.

I teach our dogs sit, stay, come, and lie down, but that's it.

I didnt even notice the braces so if he see's this you can tell him that one person wasnt looking for them at least.

ZS - Well, those are the main ones. I'm just happy to have a dog who doesn't sniff crotch. :-P

Tweety - I'll tell him. :-)

Yup, we've only owned ONE dog that wasn't a total glutton. The rest, we've had to teach to "Take it NICE!" Just because you're a dog doesn't mean that you don't have to have good manners. ;)

Isn't it weird to have that man's voice coming out of our sweet little boys?

TSHS - You know, it is funny to hear that, and his voice is very much like his dad's. His voice is not the little kid's voice I remember. :-P I'm sure Z is like that too.

I can barely recognize Z's voice anymore...kids change so quickly, it's like someone flipped a switch from boy's voice to almost-man's.
